intellectual property rights are protected for as long as the author is alive plus 70 years.
Common processes for the proof of authorship:
signing of an affidavit in the presence of a notary.
registered mail to his/her own address or to a third person as the recipient.
Online registration covers the needs created within the digital environment.

FSE's section - exclusively dedicated to the Federation of Scriptwriters in Europe.
Online registration mechanism - fully embedded application.

8. Technologies Involved

Technologies Involved
Client-side scripting and server-client scripting.
Client-side: operations performed by the client (web- browser) in a client–server relationship.
JavaScript - Jquery - Ajax.
Server-side scripting involves sending information to another computer (server) across the internet.
Server-side scripting language used here is PHP.
In addition MSQL is used and runs as a server providing multi-user access to a number of databases.

Core and Critical Features
Material remains in exactly the same form as submitted to SGG and it is stored in a non-rewritable digital format in a secure location.
Registered material may not be withdrawn.
Duplicates may be purchased upon written request.
Online registration is returned in an electronic format (CD) and sent via certified mail.
Transactions are insured by Paypal. At this step of the process the user is directed to Paypal’s website.
The application permits registration completion in case that the procedure is interrupted.

Preliminary Results
Two months period of the new service’s operation and
63 users registered approximately.
The service has received criticism on
the duration of registration validity
the registration fee.
Registration fee includes:
a Registration Certificate,
legal copyright proof and
ten years of storage for the material.

Intellectual works may return financial profits.
The expected profit from intellectual works depends on several factors.
Economic factors intertwine with new technologies and determine both the instrumental role of technology and the possibilities offered by the Web in terms of cutting-edge applications.
Information and entertainment are no longer the only fields where the Web can play a central role.
