1 LUKE 6

2 Luke 6 Jesus turns upside down:
How we view ministry (:12-13) - how and to whom do I give out 12 One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. 13 When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles

3 Luke 6 Jesus turns upside down:
How we view ministry (:12-13) - how and to whom do I give out 26 Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you (NLT: praised by the crowds)

4 Luke 6 Jesus turns upside down:
How we view ministry (:12-13) - how and to whom do I give out 26 Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you (NLT: praised by the crowds) Gal 1:10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

5 Luke 6 Jesus turns upside down:
How we view ministry (:12-13) - how and to whom do I give out How we view blessings (:20-22) - when and why I consider myself blessed

6 Luke 6 Jesus turns upside down:
How we view blessings (:20-22) - when and why I consider myself blessed Looking at his disciples, he said: “Blessed are you who are poor,     for yours is the kingdom of God. 21 Blessed are you who hunger now,     for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now,     for you will laugh.

7 Ephesians 1:3-8 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us.

8 Luke 6 Jesus turns upside down:
How we view ministry (:12-13) - how and to whom do I give out How we view blessings (:20-22) - when and why I consider myself blessed How we view love (:27-35) - who and when do I love

9 Luke 6 Jesus turns upside down:
How we view love (:27-35) - who and when and why do I love 27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them.

10 1 John 4:19 We love because he first loved us.
Luke 6 Jesus turns upside down: How we view love (:27-35) - who and when and why do I love 1 John 4:19 We love because he first loved us.

11 Luke 6 Jesus turns upside down of view of:
what successful ministry looks like (:12-13) - how and to whom do I give out what being blessed looks like(:20-22) - when and why I consider myself blessed what love looks like (:27-35) - who and when and why do I love

12 Romans 5:6-11 6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

13 Romans 5:6-11 9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
