5. The problems Modern Work is Alienated Work can be a source of joy
Workers Must see themselves in their work
Rare in modern work
Specialized work creates a distance between what you really are and what you really can do.
Can’t see how their work contributed to humanity

6. According to Marx Modern work is insecure
You are replaceable
No one wants to be able to be let go like that
We long to think there will be a place for us in the world’s heart

7. Capitalism Exploits Workers get paid little while capitalist get rich
Capitalist shrink wages to increase profits
Capitalist see profit as a reward
Marx saw profit as theft from workforce
Capitalism means paying a worker one price then increasing the cost dramatically
This is exploitation of society

8. UNSTABLE Capitalism is very unstable
Capitalism is a series of crisis that is reported as a rarity.
Real causes are we can produce too much
We can give everyone in the US a car, House, Food etc
Not everyone has to work.
We call it unemployment when we should call it freedom
We should redistribute the wealth the companies make to everyone!

Capitalism is bad even for capitalist
Capitalism forced everyone to bring economic interest at the heart of their lives.
People marry people for wrong reasons
Money
Women fought to slave all day in work instead of fighting to bring their husbands home

10. Capitalism corrupts
People start thinking ideas of how to make money not how to benefit society
Not how to live a great life
We label people who are unemployed as worthless

11. SO what’s next Ideal world according to Marx No private property
No inherited wealth
Steeply graduated income tax
Free public education
Central control of banks, communication, transport industries
