What interests you about your chosen course. Tell the universities and colleges why they should want you. Include details of what you have read about the subject. What career plans you have for when you complete your course. Any job, work experience, placement or voluntary work you have done, particularly if it is relevant to your subject. You may want to include the skills and experience you have gained from these activities. 19 Reference - 60% Academic Your referee should know you well enough to write about you and to comment on your suitability for higher education The reference is a vital part of your application. UCAS cannot process the application without full details of a referee. References will not be accepted from family, other relatives or friends. Once you have checked that your personal details, your choices, your education and employment details and your personal statement are all completed you can then send your application online to your referee. Before providing a reference, your referee may ask you to make amendments to the information you have provided. After providing a reference, your referee will approve your application and send it to us.

23 Steps to be Remembered When you have finished you form and paid your money 1. Inform Career Guidance Counsellor (Give 2 weeks notice/Teachers have to be consulted/reference written and approved) 3. Form must be returned to Guidance Counsellor (electronically) for approval otherwise reference cannot be added 4. The School sends the form. 5. School deadlines and dates are applied .
