22 Corporate Social Responsibility
IMPORTANT TO US Corporate Social Responsibility

23 Corporate Social Responsibility
The Castolin+Eutectic Group was a pioneer in sustainable development. It was founded by Jean-Pierre Wasserman in 1906 (Recycling precious metals and expensive machinery thru maintenance welding/coatings) Christopher Wasserman started 2 foundations in Switzerland, Ecophilos in 2004, and Zermatt Summit in 2009, with the purpose of putting back the human person at the center of the economy and enterprise. Logic consequence is to act consistently within TeroLab Surface Group. Because social responsibility concerns the potential and actual impacts of an organization’s decisions and activities, the ongoing, regular daily activities of the organization constitute the most important behaviour to be addressed. In conclusion, social responsibility has become an integral part of TLS shared values strategy and is reflected in all decision making. A CSR actions plan with three axes : Corporate social responsibility is at the core of TLS shared value strategy. It means that economic but also social (employees) societal (outside stakeholders) and environmental goals are included in the strategy of TLS.

24 ENERGY MANAGEMENT An essential part of the planing of the new anilox production facility in Salzkotten was the heat regulation. The innovative heating system is based on the low-energy condensing technology and used for the mainly waste heat from the compressors. The roof is equipped with the latest solar technology. The photovoltaic system converts sunlight straight into electric energy. The produced power is fed directly into the production halls and utilized in the manufacturing process.

25 ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
Carefully considered in view of the very important saving of resources we protect our environment. We have invested in a new central suction device for dusts from laser engraving. This also guarantees us a better performance. The cooling system and the suction device are separated, so that a clean, safer and healthier production environment can be guaranteed at moderate ambient temperatures.

26 ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
A new filter press specially designed for TLS Anilox is used to clean dirty abrasive slurry to offer such high quality rolls. With this filter press the disposal volume of abrasive slurry reduced to a dry filter cake – a fraction of the usual disposal costs.
