What are the intended and unintended consequences of the proposed changes?
What steps need to be taken, if any, to effect a system- wide change in priorities?
How do we balance the often-competing goals of access and success?
What existing positions (or proposed for F11) apply?
If we don’t support the proposed recommendation, what are alternatives?
1. Review and Discuss Recommendations
If you are a PPT user, you might want to put each recommendation on a slide with a few bullet points - depending on how much you need to cover. As I keep on saying, I see something new every time I look at the recommendations - quite troubling. Allow your attendees to discuss and ask questions - and use that resource person.
2. Review existing and proposed resolutions. How best to do this depends on how many of each sort that you have. This is a chance to have them discuss the pros and cons - to really explore.
3. What goal are these recommendations trying to achieve? How do we get there? If what is proposed does not do it - what would YOU suggest? (you being your audience..)
