6 Find The Right Club For You
With over 70 clubs and organizations at Grimsley, you will be able a way to get involved! Some organizations (National Honor Society, Student Ambassadors, etc.) require applications. Think of not only your academic interests but your personal interests. You will be given a list of clubs today. You can also use the Grimsley High School website under the Students tab to view active clubs.

8 How To Start Your Own Club
New clubs must have approval from the administration and a faculty sponsor. A club approval form is available in the Main Office. The club has to have a valid school-based purpose that isn’t already duplicated by another club

10 Athletic Eligibility GPA 2.0 weighted* Miss < 13 days*+
Pass 5 classes* Student and Parent Honor Code Must be a resident Current Physical exam enough credits for present class year *Keep in mind that all eligibility is based on the previous semester, not year* +All absences, regardless of the code, are considered an absence based on the NCHSAA rules. There are no excused absences in regards to athletic eligibility.

How to find out about a sport or tryouts Must have all forms in prior to try-outs Must meet all Eligibility requirements Attend an interest meeting Look for posters Watch the scrolling presentation on the TV Go talk to the coach Ask upper classmen

12 How to be Prepared for a Tryout/Audition
Plan ahead- which activity are you trying out for? What equipment will you need? Check to be sure you can balance sports with academics Practice- Don’t show up cold-turkey; work hard to make a good impression and improve your skills Don’t over work- you want to be fit and ready for tryouts, but don’t push yourself too hard. Eat and sleep healthy- the only way you can be successful in life is to make sure you fulfill your necessities of living first.

A Service Learning Ambassador is a Whirlie Involved in the Service of Others Through the Following Leadership Activities: Planned Events to Support the Grimsley Community Pantry and Clothing Drives Toy and Book Drives Reading Programs Fundraisers to Support Future Activities Developed by the Team

20 Online Hour Tracking Service Learning Ambassadors also provide monthly and ongoing support to Grimsley students for online hour entry x2Vol is a new program to start in October Students may use an app to enter hours Look for Service-Learning documentation form on the student tab on the Grimsley website See Mrs. Saunders or Service-Learning Ambassadors for assistance
