3 Standard Form for a Quadratic
Where a,b, and c are real numbers, and a does not equal zero. Example: We’re going to solve this by factoring!

4 Zero product property If AB=0, then A=0 or B=0
So if (x+1)(x – 5) = 0, then… x + 1 = or x – 5 = 0 These x-values represent ________________ on the graph of the quadratic function.
