Goals: showcase Jazz music as an art form dedicated to the acceptance and appreciation of American diversity analyze Jazz history to demonstrate it’s reflection of American society throughout the 20th century provide a free resource to learn of Jazz’s cultural significance in America

Research-based thesis essay arguing Jazz’s importance as an American artistic export and it’s expression and embracement of diversity in the U.S Timeline of landmark Jazz releases/performances throughout the decades and their individual significance

Example: Miles Davis - Bitches Brew April 1970//Columbia Records
Showcased Miles Davis as Jazz’s most creative innovator, reflecting an American obsession with psychedelic culture throughout the late 60’s and early 70’s. One of the first ever “jazz-rock” records, fusing jazz improvisation and dynamics with rock instrumentation.
