PERFORMING ARTS ENRICHMENTS Monday Evolution Apprentices' Year 7s is a great opportunity for students to learn the discipline of dance in a fun and friendly environment. Room – 1.04 Teacher – Miss Gascoigne

Monday Studio Study is time for A Level Dance students needing practical space for choreography. Whether that be for their solo’s, group pieces or rehearsal of performance skills. Room – 1.03 Teacher – Miss Kirk

Tuesday Junction 41 is Outwood’s own swing band. This is open to students of grade 3 or above. We regularly perform in concerts in the local community, and at other venues nationally. Every two years we embark on an International concert tour. Room – G.08 Teacher – Mr Machon

PERFORMING ARTS ENRICHMENTS Wednesday Fierce Fierce - is for advanced students in Dance.The group performs in competitions and festivals throughout the school year, performing a diverse range of dance, from commercial and contemporary to musical. If you’re interested in joining please see Miss Gascoigne/Miss Kirk to arrange an audition. Room – 1.03 Teacher – Miss Gascoigne/Miss Kirk

Wednesday ‘In Theory’ focuses on working towards grade 5 Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music theory examination. Students work at their own pace through the preliminary grades and then take the grade 5 examination which the Academy funds. Room – G.06 Teacher – Mr Rutter

Thursday Since the launch of OJAM in September 2010, the group have gone from strength to strength performing admirably in many concerts. They recently received an award at the National Festival of Music For Youth in Birmingham. Room – G.08 Teacher – Mr Larder

Thursday The Sopraltos is a girls’ vocal group open to years 7 and 8. We cover a range of styles including pop, folk, jazz and musicals. Singing in one or two part harmonies, we aim to perform in concerts and festivals throughout the year. All singers welcome! Room – G.24 Teacher – Mrs Wilby

The group performs in concerts and festivals throughout the school year, singing a diverse range of music, from popular and classical to west end numbers. Friday Stage Combat Club - A BRAND NEW club where you can learn the basics of stage combat in a safe environment. This club runs termly and is available for up to 12 students. See Mr Tennant to enrol for this term. Room – 1.05 Teacher – Mr Tennant

Friday Backstage Crew. Backstage Crew offers you the chance to learn and master the technical skills needed to put on a concert. This ranges from stage management, front of house sound engineering, programming lighting and visuals. You will also get an opportunity to practice recording instruments in the recording studio. Room – 1.16 Teacher – Mr Rutter
