Alternate Italy/Finland exchanges are organised by the project for groups of high school students (aged 16-18). FIELD AND LAB RESEARCH TO COLLECT SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH DATA: SOME EXAMPLES dendrochronology, soil profiling, peat analysis, mire drilling, biodiversity and ecological studies, historical maps study, digital data collection, georesources evaluation, glacial retreats, weather series, pioneer flora, geomorphological landscape interpretation, reflection on anthropocene WE ARE LEARNING BY DOING

21 The cooperative and peer-learning approach
develops new key-competences to respect the role and the different function of the other partners to be able to work in group to be able to have good relationships with the other partners to be able to communicate in a foreign language to be able to make decisions on complex issues to be able to cope with problems and find solutions (problem solving) to respect the timing of the tasks received to accept the others and their diversity

22 EVALUATION PROCESS Useful experiences for understanding climate change as a multidimensional phenomenon and for recognising both the natural and the human induced aspects of it. The hosting of students in families and the use of social media improve language and social skills. Final satisfaction questionnaires filled in by students reveal that they appreciated the experience, considering it interesting.
