Summary : Korea has developed remarkably since its independence in Major industries such as steel, automobiles, semiconductors, displays, shipbuilding, etc., were building blocks of Korean economy. Korea has been successful in pursuing “fast follower” strategy to catch up advanced countries. However, due to the strong challenge from China, production of cost-effective products with improved manufacturing technology is no longer valid.
