Figure Legend:
Left subclavicular varicose lymphatic vessels under the skin at the anterior medial aspect of the left shoulder in a patient with chronic fatigue syndrome. Lymph fluid is creamy white in color, containing no red blood cells. Thus, the surface varicosities are the same color as the surrounding skin and do not have the bluish-purplish hue seen in varicose veins.
