1 Training for Trainer’s Skill Development: Presentation & facilitation skills
As participants sign in for the training; have them sign up for the presentation that will occur after lunch. Have posters prepared with different LOs. Facilitate dot voting regarding their level of confidence with the different LOs. Pair Share Meet someone new to you. Discuss a presentation that: Felt good or great. What went well? Pair/Share-5 mins/5 mins Pair/Share-participants share about a presentation they have done that felt good/great and what specifically made that presentation go well. What made them select that particular presentation. Can be presentation done at work, during grad school or in their personal lives. Debrief: Intro self and give one thing that made your presentation go well.

16 GETTING MORE… Table Activity:
Discuss prompts you have used or have heard used to: Elicit more information Update information Deepen understanding Invite alternative perspectives K1 p. 10 Table Activity-Game: two minutes to talk with table mates about things they have said or heard said in trainings to elicit more information; 2 minutes to chart all of those ideas. Prizes!!! Debrief: winning group reads off their prompts; other groups put stars next to the item if they have the same or similar prompt. Then seek other prompts from the remaining groups.

Activity: Review your presentation Update/Modify Finalize S1 Individual/Pair Activity-We will take the next minutes to add the finishing touches on your presentation. Use each other to bounce ideas off of; ask questions. Thing of different visual tools you may want to use.

Participants do their presentations. 3 minute presentation; 3 minutes feedback. Trainer gives feedback.
