World Teach.org Summer or year-long jobs abroad Receive stipend to cover costs, but not a salary Many international jobs will cover your housing, food, airfare, insurance, etc.

6 Scholarships Fulbright Scholarships:
Fulbright applications for 2018are accepted through August 1, 2017: depending on the type of scholarship Sponsored by U.S. State Department Worldwide opportunities Work with NGOs, English Teaching, research projects, other jobs for a year (or so…) Looks GREAT on resume or grad school application!!!

7 “Normal people” win Fulbrights!
Giselle Conde (‘12) Gina Malagold (‘11) Maria Boland (’10) All were students in GEOG / LAS 321! The U.S. Gov’t paid them to do research / teach in many countries Fulbright scholars tend to receive many additional awards and land jobs in their field

8 Graduate School… Overseas!
Just like applying to grad school here in the U.S.; you can apply to graduate school anywhere in the world! Most international applications are due toward the end of summer / late fall i.e. for grad school in Fall of next year, you’d want to start looking at deadlines NOW, and probably apply before the end of the year, depending on the university.

9 …but whatever it is you do, and wherever it is you go…
Have a great (geographic?) experience!!!
