Locate a non-profit volunteer site through:
Keep track of hours on log forms printable through the site
Provide documentation of 90 hours of service by April 1st to the Counseling Office
150 hours of tax-payable work = 1 elective credit
Bring in paystubs as documentation to receive credit
Working teaches responsibility, time management, and “people skills.” Not to mention, it looks good on college applications and puts a little cash in your pocket.

8. Prepare for What’s Next
Challenging Program of Study – Honors and AP courses
Strengthen Study Skills – stay after school with teachers, library hours on Mondays and Wednesdays until 3:45, study groups, flash cards, peer tutoring
Participate in sports, clubs, activities – build college resume, become well-rounded, learn time management

9. National Collegiate Athletic Association: NCAA
Eligibility Center determines athletic eligibility for college sports as a first year student
Minimum GPA of 2.3 is required for Division 1 and a minimum of 2.2 for Division 2. There are SAT cut scores as well for both divisions.
