Hole In one!!! By: Tiffany Blevins Josh Watson Christopher Maier Charles Cantrell

The basics Goal- to stamp a piece of paper. Means- Rube Goldberg device uniquely created by us. Ball is launched, hits Schleter, sends car down track, hits string. Trap is triggered, paper is stamped, trigger is sprung back up. Parts- wood, rat trap, toy Mini Cooper, string, stamp, launcher. Cost- approx. $4.

The Work Involved... From the ball- projectile motion to conservation of momentum. From the car- gravitational potential energy to kinetic energy into collision. From the string by car- collisions From the mouse trap- spring potential energy to kinetic energy From stamp- gravitational potential energy to kinetic energy

Any Issues? Keeping Mini Cooper stationary during launch The welding of stamp/pole to trap Right force to launch ball

Conclusions... Device works relatively well. We learned how to think more constructively for even the simplest of tasks. WARNING: Don’t get your arm stamped by a stamper powered by a rat trap.
