Empowering Student Success Through the Arts

2 Examples of how art, dance, music and theatre teachers can use and reinforce the 12 Powerful Words in their content. What do we mean by powerful words? These are the words that stump students when they take standardized test. Students may feel intimidated or confused by these words causing them to answer a question incorrectly when they know the answer 12 Powerful Words

3 What can you do as an Art, Dance, Music or Theatre Teacher?
By incorporating these words into the art, dance, music, and theatre curriculum you will be helping to boost your student’s academic achievement. Have students make up questions utilizing these words. Use these words with students on a daily basis integrated into your content. Ask the students to use the words in their written responses.
