2 I Samuel 22:1: So David departed from there and escaped to the cave of Adullam…

3 I Samuel 22:1: When his brothers and all his father’s household heard of it (David’s escape to the cave), they went down there to him.

4 I Samuel 22:2: And everyone who was in distress, and everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented, gathered to him; and he became captain over them. Now there were about 400 men with him.

5 In Distress: “zuk” means “in distress” and also “under pressure, under stress”

6 In Debt: “nashah” menas “to lend on interest, to have a number of creditors”

7 Discontented: “maar nephesh” means “to be in bitterness of soul, to have been wronged and mistreated”

8 Psalm 57: Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me, For my soul takes refuge in Thee; And in the shadow of Thy wings I will take refuge, Until destruction passes by. I will cry to God Most High, To God who accomplishes all things for me. He will send from heaven and save me. . .
