2 Aims for T&FG1 CRP POC testing transferred to T&F gp. 2 Review implementation of Code of Practice to assess support / action required to fully embed across all Health Boards (1&2). Support HBs with local delivery plans (3) Consider Health Protection Scotland IP&C Manual model & evaluate use of IP&C procedures in the community (5) IP&C related to antimicrobial resistant organisms including CPE (6): Advise on development of Gram negative HCA-BSI and MDRO surveillance. Receive reports on roll out of ICNet. Update on E. coli BSI study Consider HB reports related to IP&C to identify common themes for improvement. Receive updates on ANTT implementation Eleri Davies - T&F group 1

3 Health Board priorities
Ensure implementation and embedding of Code of Practice. Implementation and embedding of whole system IP&C procedures and practices. Implementation of procedures to identify MDR-organisms early and prevent spread. Implementation of IP&C interventions and antimicrobial stewardship to reduce HCAI ANTT Care bundles for Medical Device insertion and maintenance. Management of UTI including CAUTI Antimicrobial stewardship to reduce C. difficile disease and resistance. Embed ICNet system. Eleri Davies - T&F group 1

4 PHW Support Roll out of ICNet Steering Group for ANTT
Surveillance data and Prevalence surveys Data analysis Epidemiology support IP&C expertise QI expertise IP&C forum and teleconferences Tools in support of MDRO procedure. IP&C procedure manual Reference laboratory support (C. difficile and Mycobacteria) E-learning and education programmes Regular meetings with HBs to ensure support meeting needs. 5 Measuring success WG Reduction Expectations
Current target period October 16 – March 17. Continued reductions in Staph. aureus bacteraemia and C. difficile disease. UK commitment to reduce Gram negative Healthcare Associated Blood stream infections GNHA-BSI) by half by 2020. Eleri Davies - T&F group 1
