1 ` Eukaryotic Cells All eukaryotic cells (Only pick 2)
Largest Cell & Nucleus Organelles -small bodies that perform specific functions in the cells Protist Fungi Plants Animals All eukaryotic cells (Only pick 2) cytoplasm is a thick, liquid residing between the cell membrane holding organelles

2 Eukaryotic Cell Parts Cell Wall Plants Algae Fungi have cell walls.
A ridge structure that surrounds the cell membrane and supports the cell. Plants Algae Fungi have cell walls. Prokaryotic cells like bacteria and archaea have cell walls. Animals cells do not have cell walls.

3 Cell Membrane All cells have cell membranes.
Protective barrier that surrounds a cell. Controls what goes in and out of the cell. All cells have cell membranes. The cell membrane is made of lipids which are fats and cholesterol. Proteins and lipids control the movement of materials in and out of the cell.

4 Cytoskeleton - adds support
Nucleus - contains the DNA, control center of the cell Ribosomes - organelle that makes proteins Endoplasmic Reticulum - internal delivery system. ER can be smooth or rough. Rough ER is covered with ribosomes

5 Mitochondria - uses oxygen to break down food to make energy (stores energy in ATP)
Chloroplasts - uses sunlight to make food for plants (Plant and algae have 2 membrane in which Photosynethesis takes place) Golgi Complex - processes (packages) and transports proteins throughout the cell Vesicle - a small sac that surrounds material that moves in and out of the cell Lysosomes - digests food particles. Cleans up the cell. (Found in Animal Cells) Vacuole - stores water and nutrients
