1 INFORMATIONAL MEETING ON NEW TRENDS IN ADOLESCENT DRUG USE
The majority of children, teen and college students using drugs are not drug addicts: they are simply experimenting. Whether experimentation starts with the “challenges” promoted online, trying pot or popping pills, a few bad decisions can lead down the path with many consequences. The “glamorizing” of drugs is promoted all over the internet and in today’s music. The types of drugs out on the street continue to change and are easy to obtain, such as alcohol, marijuana, prescription drugs, heroin, etc. Alcohol and marijuana are two of the most prevalent drugs used today. Date: Tuesday, January 26, 2016 Times: 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. (Coffee and donuts will be served) OR 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. (Pizza will be served) Location: Telluride High School, Room 234 Presenter: Lynn Reimer Lynn Reimer is a regional and national speaker, trainer and advocate on the issues related to substance abuse.
