2. Choosing the Right One There are four main types of organisation:
Cellular
Open Plan
Hot Desking
Teleworking
The one you choose should reflect the nature of the work being done
If people need to talk and share ideas then the office layout should allow this.

3. Open Plan Large open rooms where many people work
The room can be organised into teams
It can be separated if required by using screens or partitions

4. Cellular Offices The traditional office layout
Separate rooms where one or two workers are located

5. Teleworking
Development in technology now means that people can work from home or on the road.
They use laptop computers which are linked to the business network

6. Hotdesking
Staff working from home may need to visit the office so they do have a desk of their own.
Desks are allocated to ‘teleworkers’ to use when they come into the office.
