Sound Doctrine I. Teachers of the Gospel Must Speak Sound Doctrine.
Titus was to speak “sound doctrine” (Titus 2:1-3). Timothy was to follow “good doctrine” (1 Tim. 4:6-7). They must teach “no other doctrine” (1 Tim 1:3-4).

Sound Doctrine II. Elders Must Uphold Sound Doctrine.
They must “exhort” and “convict” by “sound doctrine” (Titus 1:9).
3
Sound Doctrine III. False Doctrine Cannot Be Tolerated.
This would be to share in “evil deeds” (2 John 9-11). We must “test the spirits” (1 John 4:1-3). We must be “watchful in all things” (2 Tim. 4:3-5).
4
Sound Doctrine IV. Jesus’ Attitude Toward False Doctrine.
He commanded His disciples to beware of it (Matt. 16:5-12). It is to engage in “vain” worship (Matt. 15:8-9). It is taught by “ravenous wolves” (Matt. 7:15-20).
5
Sound Doctrine V. Worldly Doctrines are Contrary to Christ.
They cheat one of the things of Christ (Col. 2:6-8). “Strange doctrines” are of no profit (Heb. 13:7-9). We must not follow every “wind of doctrine” (Eph. 4:11-15).
