2. What is Otzi’s Story?
One day a man took a shortcut in the Alps and came across a yellow skin man with containers with berries and antelope meat, food, a fishing net, flint, a needle, grass string, flat pencil inside of a pouch, a leather necklace with one copper bead, a bow, a copper axe, and a flint dagger. The last thing they found were some mushrooms threaded on a leather strip and a cap. When they found this man, they wondered… What is his story?

3. How Otzi got his name?
The name that Otzi got was of course, Otzi. He got this name because it is the name of the mountain he was found on. There were 5 different theories of how he died, Hypothermia, Robbery, Assasination, Ritual Sacrifice, Death in Battle. Skip to the next slide to see what we picked.

4. We believe Otzi died because…
Of Ritual Sacrifice. It was a clear, sunny day in the Alps, when Otzi’s tribe was preparing him for sacrifice. He was found with a leather necklace, which could be part of the ceremony, as well as mysterious tattoos. He was also wearing one grass shoe, which you cannot hike in. He was carried there. 5. Why Otzi Died Continued…
They broke his items to prepare him for the afterlife, so he could have them later on. Otzi was a gift to there gods. He was killed by a stone hitting him in the back of the head, which explains the hole. There was other peoples blood on his clothes and his body. The members of the tribe probably cut them selves with the dagger and smeared their blood on Otzi. Otzi was also on a very beautiful part of the mountain.
