Do you have a national response plan? Yes – civil emergency plan.
Is response to transport accidents/incidents covered in that? Yes.
Are the proper authorities involved? Yes.
Is the appropriate equipment available? Partly.
Are responders properly trained? Yes.
Do you have notification requirements? Yes.
What about members of the public? There is plan have to inform public.
When was the last emergency exercise for transport? Last year.
Have you exercised the response plan? Table and field exercises.

9. 7 - Compliance assurance and enforcement
For your country, who is responsible for:
Verification of compliance of packages: Documentation, Labeling, Doses – RSC.
Verification of Shipments: Approval, Marking for transport – RSC + involved institutions (Border police, Customs, State police, Latvian Maritime Administration, Civil Aviation Agency, State Railway Technical Inspectorate).
Compliance for carriers – RSC.
Notification: How do you know if an incident has occurred? From carrier or police.
