2. What is bullying?
Being hurt mentally or physically, hurting your feelings
Swearing, Calling names and people laughing at you
Being racist, sexist, or abusing someone because of their colour or religion
Threatening you, intimidating you and making you sad
Includes texts and internet
People saying they hate you or blaming you for something you didn’t do
Pushing you in the line
Hurting people or pulling hair
Writing rude notes about people
Leaving people out and isolating them
Showing no respect
When you are scared to tell people
Saying horrible things about your family or friends
Doing things over a period of time

3. How does bullying make you feel?
Hurt, upset, emotional, angry, you want to get them back
Isolated, down-hearted, bad about yourself
Heart-broken, unwanted
Emotional and lonely, like no-one trusts you
Trapped like a hostage
Petrified and miserable, you feel intimidated
Worried and helpless
You can’t trust anyone and you want to leave school and run away
Scared, quiet, small and lost
Nervous, like the bully is a giant
That you are no good at school

4. AT CJS, we all have the RIGHT to:
Be happy, safe and have fun
Speak out
Be yourself
Be respected and equal
Learn and play and be with your friends
Be responsible and say “NO” if we need to
Feel free and be loved
Believe in what you want
Work hard and be successful
Tell adults when we are upset

5. At CJS we ALL have the responsibility to:
Show respect to everyone
Share with others
Be kind
Be honest
Follow the school rules
Use our manners, say please, thank you
Work hard and do our best
Keep our hands and feet to ourselves
Tell adults if we are upset
Be a BUDDY, not a BULLY!
Say “NO” if we need to
Play nicely and include people

6. So what do we do at CJS? Remember to walk away from things at first
You could stand up for yourself and say “No!” to bullies
Tell staff at school
Tell your parents
Staff will listen, understand and try to help you
Staff may help you by keeping an eye on things
Staff may talk to all children involved
Staff may contact both sets of parents
Staff will do something to help and help you to make things better

7. BE A BUDDY, NOT A BULLY!
The New Primary Curriculum - September Foundation Subjects

Teaching, Learning and Curriculum Overview - on website, currently being reviewed and will be agreed by Governors at next C&C meeting
Curriculum Mapping - a) Thematic Overview b) Curriculum Mapping for each curriculum subject - on website
Curriculum Review - curriculum subjects are grouped into Learning Areas. We review every theme, from every class in every YG. WWW/EBI, then recommendations from Learning Teams are shared with teaching staff to impact and make improvements. 
Broad and Balanced Curriculum -We try to offer a broad and balanced curriculum which gives opportunities to develop skills in other areas, such as Sound Start in Y4, Swimming in Y4, Y3 Christmas Performance, Y4 Harvest Performance, Y5 Co-Co Project and Residential/Activity week in Y6
PE and Sport - signpost to the PE & Sport Premium on the website for the sort of things this entails. This money is provided by the Government over three years in order to keep the legacy of 2012 Olympics alive
ICT - three main aims at the moment, to have and maintain a healthy wireless network, to make lessons more interesting, interactive and innovative by using modern technology such as iPads, and to ensure e-safety for all pupils AND parents is a priority in the every changing IT world of the 21st Century
Co-Co - a project in Y5 where the Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural education of learners is further developed - Y5
Promoting British Values in Modern Britain - OFSTED new guidance on further promotion of SMSC development of all learners, including thinking about democracy, tolerance, respect, freedom, the rule of law and having zero-tolerance towards behaviour which promotes extremism and radicalisation
