9 Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
1. Combine the following in a 5 quart mixing bowl: ¼ cup margarine ¼ cup shortening ½ cup brown sugar ¼ cup granulated sugar

10 2. Measure and stir into another bowl:
1 ¼ cups flour ½ t baking soda ¼ t salt Mix the dry ingredients in step 2 with the combined mixture in step 1 until well-mixed.

11 4. Turn dough onto plastic wrap and label
3. Add the following: 1 egg ½ t vanilla 1 cup chocolate chips 4. Turn dough onto plastic wrap and label with group number and class period; refrigerate overnight.

12 Temperature and Time 6. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Portion
dough onto ungreased cookie sheets. 7. Flatten cookies with palm of your hand or mallet. 8. Bake minutes.

13 Finishing After removing cookies from oven, let them cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes to set. Remove with metal cookie turner and place on wax paper to cool completely.

14 Yield: about 2 dozen 2”cookies
