Design-a-rehab Your task is to design a residential treatment service. There are some specific elements of the service to look at. The boundaries to the service are: Alcohol treatment only – not other substance use Provide detoxification and rehabilitation Service is for adults

Use the following questions to help design the service:
Who would the service be for? What admission criteria would you set? What exclusion criteria would you set? What services / interventions / therapies would it provide? What staff or roles might work there? What style or model of programme would you use?

Residential Alcohol Detoxification
Referral from Forward Leeds Partnership with St Martin’s GP service 5-bed service 7-day reducing regime of Chlordiazepoxide Pabrinex injections, if required 24 hour supervision – including nursing staff Maintain substitute prescribing during alcohol detoxification Structured therapeutic programme Seamless transition to rehabilitation or transfer to community interventions Commencement of relapse prevention medication
