Audience Goals Branding Content needs User survey (on med.wisc.edu) Keyword research Analytics review Benchmarking other medical school sites

4 Phase 2: Recommendations
Create a release plan, including: Primary audience and goals High level design direction (e.g., how UW Health and SMPH brands will work together) High level architecture (e.g., navigation) Technical requirements and solutions (e.g., CMS, search, etc.) Content gap analysis Project dates/milestones Present for approval

5 Design Identify page templates and their requirements (e.g., news story, landing pages, detail pages, etc.) Wireframe pages - mobile first (responsive design) Develop design options (2 designs) Present for approval

6 Site Development Technical Editorial
Implement approved design by developing templates in the CMS Program search and other technical requirements Program analytics Editorial Meet with subject matter experts to discuss specific content needs

7 Site Build Migrate content from old to new CMS
Mine for keywords and other SEO strategies Design required graphics/size images

8 Site Testing Test all pages and features (web center) in multiple browsers Identify bugs/issues Resolve Retest Release site beta for internal testing

9 Launch Site Release site Implement communication plan
