4/21/2018 8:38 PM Microsoft Cloud Computing Research Centre MCCRC is a virtual centre, a ground-breaking collaboration between specialists in cloud computing law and computer science to provide thought leadership in complex areas where cloud technology and regulation intersect Joint team from the Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary University of London + Cambridge Computer Lab The current research (2015) is focused on the topics of: Legal & Security considerations at the intersection of Cloud Computing and the Internet of Things Microsoft Cloud Computing Research Centre Ground-breaking collaboration between specialists in cloud computing law and computer science to provide thought leadership in complex areas where cloud technology and regulation intersect Joint team from the Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary University of London + Cambridge Computer Lab (with input from the Centre for Science and Policy) MCCRC is a virtual centre with flexibility to adapt as required Initial funding is for three years’ work ( ) 2014 core focus: forced localisation of cloud services 2015 core focus: clouds of things 2016 core focus: cloud robotics? / something completely different? The current research (2015) is focused on the topics of: - Legal & Security considerations at the intersection of Cloud Computing and the Internet of Things. Taxonomic analysis of key concepts in the area of cloud (where there is fundamental disconnect between legal and computer science definitions of concepts, such as the concept of processing).
