2. Flipped classroom
20-30 minute lectures recorded in Camtasia and watched between class settings.
Quizzes taken online in Canvas.
Class-time used for experiential labs in 4 Modules: Play Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, Filial Therapy and Group Work.
Technologically-informed final semester long-project: Final Project (50%): Students will design technological relevant media for disseminating current knowledge regarding an evidenced-based practice covered in this class on a particular topic of their practice or research interests regarding advanced practice with children and families. This project will include a final product that can be used in future research or practice and will contribute to the current field of knowledge regarding practice with children, adolescents and families.
Individuals/Teams will be presenting their work during our final class during week 14. Students will have the resources of the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) who will be supporting our work all semester. More information on how to access this support will be given during the first few weeks of class. Checkpoints for your projects listed in your weekly syllabus.
