3  Amazon River located in The Amazon and has 1,100 tributaries.
Also has big stagnant free-standing lakes and oxbow lakes. Provide a home for many different fish species and the pink river dolphin. Hydrosphere

4 Space Scientists are able to see the deforestation from space.

5 Atmosphere Climate change is having a major impact on The Amazon.
As temperatures rise the Amazon will have less rainfall and higher temps. They act as "pollution filters" / "carbon sinks".  Rain forests absorb carbon and produce oxygen. Atmosphere

6 Lithosphere Soils can support a lot of vegetation.
Tropical soils are one of the deepest soils in the world. Soils are washed out and lack nutrients. Thin topsoil's that contain large amounts of carbon. Amazon river basin has clay soils. Lithosphere
