2 Objectives for the class
To introduce the students to the German language and the culture of the German-speaking countries, primarily Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. To reach a Checkpoint A proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

7 Grading Policy Performance – 65% Practice – 15% Participation – 20%
Missed or late assignments – will be marked as incomplete [INC] in Infinite Campus until they are completed. At the end of the quarter, any missing work will be given a score of 45%. For each missing assignment, students must fill in a Late, Incomplete or Redo Assignment Form, which I will collect and keep in the student’s file.

German Club: Meetings on Thursdays at lunch German Exchange: Every other year, we host students from our sister school in Hamburg in the fall and then we travel to Hamburg to stay with them in the spring.
