Strategy is a way of using the organisation’s internal resources to respond to its external environment in order to be successful. How do you measure success? Achievement of goals / objectives / targets within the specified time Slide # 6

24 DEVELOP WORK PLAN AND ACTION PLANS
STEP 7. DEVELOP WORK PLAN AND ACTION PLANS 1. WORK PLAN FOR EACH THRUST AREA A Work Plan is a visual chart that shows the list of Projects related to each of the goals in a Thrust area and indicates the time frame for each Project. The Work Plan is similar to a Gantt Chart 2. ACTION PLAN FOR EACH PROJECT An action plan lists the tasks to complete a Project. For each Project it specifies who will do it, how it will be done, when it will be done and what resources are needed to carry it out. It includes indicators of success. Slide # 24
