*We will know how to compare and order decimals by looking at the digits in each place value position, OR by using a number line.

Remember line up decimal point Line up decimal points Starting at the left, compare the digits in each place-value position. 0.5 is greater than 0.25 0.50 0.25

Which is greater, 0.5 or 0.25? Use a number line. Graph each number.
On a number line, numbers to the RIGHT are greater than numbers to the LEFT. Therefore, 0.5 is greater than 0.25.
