2. Overview/Introduction
The purpose of this presentation is to give information about the rise of the cookie industry and to tell about those people who were important to the business.

3. A Time of the Cookie Boom!!
Conrad Keebler found the perfect recipe to create what we now know as Cookie Dough.
He started by experimenting with sugar and eggs and heating them to a high temperature.
Once people found out about these “cookies”, everyone needed to have them.

4. A Time of the Cookie Boom!!
Companies created many factories to make cookies for people all over the world.
The Keebler Process was used to make all cookies. The process made the cookies taste better and companies were able to make them faster.
In 1908, there was a decline in sales. This became known as the Great Cookie Crumble.

5. Benefits from the Cookie Industry
Citizens began to invest in cookie companies.
Other businesses benefited, such as the egg and sugar business.
People began spending their money on cookies and help build a strong economy.

6. The Tools of the Trade
These are the tools that companies used to help cookies to become the important industry that it is today

7. Chip A’Hoy Founded his own cookie company
Invented the first chocolate chip cookie.
Enhanced the cookie process, which led to cookie to be baked faster. This help change the industry.
