3 Nationally In 2015, aggregate production in the U.S. was mire than 2.25 billion metric tons $21 billion industry 100,000+ highly-skilled employees Rebuilding America’s infrastructure and economy Strong voice in our nation’s capital in support of the aggregates industry National Museum of Natural History RBAF – mission is to promote knowledge and public interest in the agg/pulv mineral industry

4 Nationally Largest Mining/Materials Association (by production tonnage) due to NSSGA member-companies producing over 90% of crushed stone and 70% of the sand and gravel annually produced in the US each year Helps to Support Rocks Build America Foundation Smithsonian Rocks Gallery National Museum of Natural History RBAF – mission is to promote knowledge and public interest in the agg/pulv mineral industry

Aggregate Uses Construction: roads, bridges, railways, airports, tunnels, roofing, commercial and residential buildings Products: paint, pharmaceuticals, foods, cleaners, paper, cosmetics, toothpaste, glass, fertilizer, dimensional stone (aesthetically pleasing), and so much more Environmental Protection: erosion control, slope protection, water retention, flue gas de-sulfurization, wastewater/sewage control and filtration, drinking water filtration and purification EVERY AMERICAN WILL NEED 1.18 MILLION LBS OF AGGREGATES IN THEIR LIFETIME
