MEMORY VERSE: “Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye” (1 Corinthians 16:1). TEXT: 1 Corinthians 16:1-24

8 INTRODUCTION Previous study deals with the resurrection of the dead.
Christ’s resurrection is pivotal to the christian faith! We shall rise! In our text, Paul addressed the issue of collection for the saints in Jerusalem and how to do it. He promised to visit the Corinthian church in the winter. He gave the instructions how how to treat his co-workers in transit He exhorted the church to watchfulness and spiritual strength. And concluded his first epistle to the Corinthians with a benediction

Evangelistic outreaches should be well planned for a greater impact. Paul exhorts us to watchfulness, steadfastness spiritual strength and courage. We should not abandon God’s work because of opposition.
