5 Example 2 Find the distance between (-7, 5) and (4, -3) to the nearest tenth

6 Partner Up and Try Determine the distance between (-9, 8) and (-6, 0)

8 Example 3 Find the midpoint between (2, 4) and (-1, 7)

9 More Algebra?! Sometimes you will be given one endpoint and the midpoint, then asked to find the other end point This requires splitting the midpoint formula

10 Example 4 The midpoint of segment CD is (-2, 1) and point C has coordinates of (-5, 7) Find point D Answer  (1, -5)
