2 Cheer at KMS is…….. Promoting School Spirit
Being a Leader on the field and in the classroom and hallways Being an ambassador of our school – welcoming, kind, encouraging. Growing Cheer specific skills and leadership skills to prepare for high school. Being part of a TEAM and working together to make great memories. Cheer at KMS is……..

4 Tryout Attire/Expectations:
Arrive on time to each clinic, ready to work. Wear athletic shoes that support your foot. Pull hair all the way up in a ponytail. Very little or no makeup. No earrings or jewelry Sports bra in black or white. For Tryout Days, black shorts and white tee. Tryout Attire/Expectations:

5 WHEN do we CHEER? Football Season Mondays are 7th Grade Games
Tuesdays are 8th Grade Games Girls must be transported by bus to the field (Kpark or another HS) We end around 8pm. Basketball Season Games are on Mondays and Thursdays and are shared equally between the squads. Games are always at KMS Games are 5:15-about 7:30ish. WHEN do we CHEER?

6 What School Events do Cheerleaders Participate in?
Pep Rallies at KMS – end of the day, 2-3 times a year. Helping out at the 6th Grade Cougar Camp and Orientation As other opportunities arise, we definitely consider them for the girls! Pep Rallies at Elementary schools 2-4 times a year, usually in the mornings. Performing at our Welcome Pep Rally at KMS for incoming 5th graders. What School Events do Cheerleaders Participate in?

7 We do have to raise money for buses to take us to away games during football season and for any new mats, etc. that we may wish to purchase. We will need every girl to participate (it is not optional) and we will need parent help and ideas.  We are hoping to do some fun clinics for younger girls this year. Ideas are welcome!! Fundraising

8 Cost CAMP COSTS Field Uniform Costs
$400 (estimate) for an away camp with UCA at the Woodlands Waterway Mariott, August 7th-10th Camp Wear (3 complete outfits) = $251.92 Camp is Mandatory. Shell, skirt, long sleeves, brief, sports bra, shoes, pom poms, and Game Day Jersey = $461.75 Cost

9 Important Dates to Know:
Wednesday, March 22 – Signature Portion of Info Sheet due. Tryouts: Clinic = April 7,10,11 (4:00-5:30) Tryouts = April 12 and 13 (4:30-??) April 18, 4:30-5:30pm  Cheer Squad Parent Meeting (for those who make the squad)  April 19th, 3-5pm - Middle School Physicals at KPark  April 25th, 4-6:30pm  Uniform Fitting  May 5th – All $$ due through Varsity Payment Portal Important Dates to Know:

10 Turn in bottom of Cheer Tryout Sheet (Pink or yellow) to Mrs
Turn in bottom of Cheer Tryout Sheet (Pink or yellow) to Mrs. Wells or Ms. Johnson! Turn in Principal form to your Assistant Principal Make sure you have a physical on the Humble ISD form, turned in to Coach Enderle in Athletics. TO DO List:
