Sun and stars If you look to your right this is what almost all stars look like. The definition of a star is a fiery ball made of super hot gas called helium and hydrogen. Stars are classified by size, color, brightness, and temperature. The definition of a constellation is A group of stars forming a picture in space Example: if there are a group of stars and you think it looks like a lion you can imagine in your head a lion made of stars in the sky.

Neptune and mars Neptune is a gas giant because its atmosphere is made of helium hydrogen and methane. Neptune is 346 degrees F. Neptune is billion miles away from the sun. Neptune’s diameter is 30,599 miles. Neptune has 13 moons and 165 earth years is 1 year on Neptune. Mars is about 70 degrees F. mars diameter is 4,212 miles. Mars is miles away from the sun. mars is a rocky and sandy planet. Mars is about only half the diameter of earth. Mars has no rings and has 2 moons

Comets and meteors The definition of a comet is a large frozen object made of gas and dust. The definition of a meteor is a ball of mass that enters the earths atmosphere and makes a stream of light. Meteoroid- a small piece of an asteroid that orbits the sun. Meteor- a meteoroid that burns up in the earths atmosphere. Meteorite- a meteoroid that survives its passage through earths atmosphere. Comet Halley, most famous comet in history, 76 year orbit, Halley will return to the inner solar system in 2061

Gravity Gravity is what keeps you on the ground. If it weren’t for gravity you would be floating and everything around you will be floating. The definition of gravity is a force pulling any object towards the ground. If you weighed 200 pounds on earth you would weigh 33 pounds on the moon. Gravity impacts our solar system by keeping planets in orbit

technology NASA’S Valkyrie is a space robot that helps NASA. It benefits humans by helping at the space station or by thinking of new technology to help with space travel.
