A Note from the Teacher We had a fantastic (and busy!) week in second grade! The students were so polite and attentive while the accreditation team made their rounds to all of the classrooms. I am so proud! The students were also very reverent as we celebrated All Saints’ Day at Mass on Tuesday. In addition, we practiced how to regroup by carrying a ten in addition, we began our studies on Native Americans, we wrote about what we would do when we are president, and we did a fabulous job on our reading tests! You will see that attached to this newsletter is a slip describing our annual Thanksgiving basket drive. Mrs. Legnon sorted the items so that each child has a specific item to bring. Please bring that item to school on November 18th. Thank you for your generosity! If you’re looking for volunteer hours, sorting through Thanksgiving baskets is a great way to do so. Please contact Cindy Wagner at for more information. Also coming up is the MaxMobile visit on the 8th! Thank you so much for your generous donations to the Humane Society. We have a lot to give to our guests on Tuesday, but it would be wonderful if we could add even more! Dog and cat food is requested, but they do have an Amazon wish list if you’d like to see more specific items. This week and next week there will be no homework packets. Instead, I am sending home a project that will be due November 16th so that we can display them outside our door for the school to enjoy. The project description is attached to this newsletter. We will have our flag raising ceremony on Friday the 11th for Veteran’s Day. Finally, next week is auction preview week. I can’t wait to see all of you there on Saturday November 12th!. Have a wonderful weekend! Thank You, Miss Kroon
