3 Identification A&R Report Accountability Reports
Identifies potential concentrators based upon past and current course enrollment Accountability Reports Identify concentrators based upon FRC codes Denominator for calculations Based upon final FRC codes in GDVS Even numbered FRC codes are only for CTE concentrators

5 Specifics Required Tests Proficiency Level Locating Information
Reading for Information Applied Mathematics Silver Certificate (or higher)

6 READY Accountability Model

7 HS Indicators EOCs (Algebra I/Math I, Biology, English II) ACT
WorkKeys (graduates with Silver Certificate or higher) 5 Year Cohort Graduation Rate Math Rigor (graduates who have passed Algebra II or its equivalent – the class not an assessment) Graduation Project (yes/no status)

8 Reporting Status, Growth, and Progress will be reported on each indicator (except the Graduation Project) Status: How did you do for the current year? Growth: Calculated in EVAAS Progress: How did you do compared to previous years? (State subgroups)

9 School Performance Grades (The General Assembly’s Accountability Model)

10 Indicators Performance Composite (Elementary and High)
Percent of proficient tests in a school All tests, subjects, and grade levels Uses the EOG/EOC test data Algebra II/Integrated III Percent of graduates who take and pass Alg. II or Int. Math III Excludes the 1% population (NCExtend1 students)

11 Indicators (con’t.) Graduation Rate WorkKeys ACT
Percent of students that graduate within 4 years (4-year cohort graduation rate) WorkKeys Percent of graduates who are CTE concentrators who achieve a Silver certificate, or better, on the WorkKeys assessment ACT Percent of college-ready benchmarks met

12 High School + Growth Elementary and Middle + Growth {state mean}
Performance Composite Algebra II/Integrated III Graduation Rate WorkKeys ACT {state mean} + Growth {Schools that meet or exceed growth are raised one letter grade} Elementary and Middle {state mean} + Growth Performance Composite

13 Set criteria against the state average
Because we are using the state mean, raising standards will not create undifferentiated grades Each indicator has a different mean and scores are distributed around that mean Set criteria against the state average Monitor data for continuous improvement of the accountability system Example Indicator A Example Indicator B 46% 87% C C
