3. Accents and Phonetic Symbols
By learning what to do, there is no reason to omit typing in foreign accent marks or real phonetic symbols when you use a computer.
If you change your keyboard to ‘Spain-International Sort’, you can make Spanish accents easily with the apostrophe key:
’ then a, e, i, o, u = á, é, í, ó, ú
; = ñ
+ = ¡
Shift + _ = ? Shift + ‘+’ = ¿
Shift + ’ then u = ü

4. Accents and Phonetic Symbols
It is possible to use ‘ALT’ codes to type accents (e.g. Alt = á), but it is easier to just change the keyboard to Spanish.
Once it’s ready, go to the bottom of the screen and change the language from “EN” to “ES” and then change the keyboard to ‘Spanish’.
By the way, you can take pictures like these by clicking ‘Print Screen’ on the keyboard (or ALT + ‘Print Screen’ for a single window) and then just paste and crop the image as you like.

Here are my instructions for phonetic symbols and easy syntactic trees.
When you save the file, don’t forget to embed the special fonts used by going to the Office Button, then ‘Powerpoint Options’, then ‘Save’, then ‘Embed fonts in the file.’ This way others can see the symbols if they don’t have the font on their computer.

6. USU Colors
For school spirit, you can change the colors of your presentation to be the official USU colors!
This is good for fonts, textboxes, backgrounds, templates, etc.
To do so, right click on whatever you are working on, and go to ‘format shape’. Then go to change the color, go to ‘More colors’ and then ‘Custom’. Find ‘RGB’ and type in the colors you want:
Aggie Blue: Red (0), Green (51), Blue (89)
Black: Red (0), Green (0), Blue (0)
Copper: Red (172), Green (141), Blue (115)
Silver: Red (164), Green (174), Blue (181)
