2 Transferring a Unit – step by step
Steps involved in overall transfer process Receive notice from resident in writing the place into file and scan and attach to resident in Voyager Input notice into Voyager This is input on the resident screen under functions then select Notice Requested information: Move out (transfer) date Reason for transferring New lease data Roommates (adjust accordingly as needed) Rentable Items (adjust accordingly as needed) Transfer Unit Procedure then Post Transfer Move Resident Out using the Unit Transfer under the Unit Statics section on the Community Manager Dashboard - including refund of security deposit Move Resident In using the Unit Transfer in the Unit Statics column on the Community Manager Dashboard - include new security deposit Deposit Accounting completed - found on the left hand side under Resident Activity on the Community Manager Dashboard. 3 Connecting the Dots…… Beginning the process
Under the Resident menu select Transfer Unit Connecting the Dots……

4 On the next screen input the requested information accurately then submit
Unit – current unit occupied by resident Resident – resident asking for transfer To Property – unless transferring away from your property input that property here as well To Unit – Unit to which the resident is transferring Notice of Transfer Date –date cannot be in the future Connecting the Dots…..

5 After pressing submit this will be the next screen
Please remove any checks under Custom Data at this time including - Include Security Deposit Balance in Transfer Fill any other data according to the resident submitted transfer request Note you can also change lease terms and units here again if needed Press “Next” after verifying data entered is correct Connecting the Dots…..

6 As you continue pressing next in the process the screens will allow you to adjust the following:
Roommates Rentable Items Once you have gone through those steps adjusting information as needed you will be provided a summary of the transfer Proof this carefully and then press “Post Transfer” Connecting the Dots….

7 Crossing the Finish Line
Now this portion of the process has been completed and you will now see the transfer on the dashboard under the Unit Statics section Crossing the Finish Line

8 Transferring - Move In/Move Out
Now that the unit transfer is on your community manager dashboard just click on the number next to that selection to open up the current transfer on the property in question Prior to going further press Notice in this section to review Move In/Out dates and other information before proceeding – highly recommended as many times this process is not done all in one sitting and dates may have changed Now select the resident you wish to Move In/Move Out to a new unit (see sample in the screen shot below) Transferring - Move In/Move Out

On the next screen you will need to verify the information entered for the Lease Dates and Lease Charges sections Remember to check your lease expiration count in this process to keep this in line with monthly lease expiration numbers Once the information has been verified press Post - See next slide for an example Once this has been done the move in function will be grayed out for this resident in the Unit Transfer section on the Community Dashboard - This can be seen on the follow up Move Out screen shot Move Out Now move the resident out under the Unit Transfer section – review move out dates prior to pressing this button Press Move Out button Notice on the next screen the status will be past Transferring - Move In/Move Out

12 Transferring - Deposit Accounting
Now for Deposit Accounting Find this under the Resident Activity section on your Community Manager Dashboard – Deposit Accounting Click on the number next to this field and that will bring up any current deposit accounting items that need your attention Transferring - Deposit Accounting

13 Transferring - Deposit Accounting
Then click on the button under the Deposit Accounting column next to the resident you need to adjust Verify all transaction listed on this page and enter all forwarding address information Enter all charges for move out to include creating charge for security deposit (will need to do zero receipt to have this balance out) Verify all data is correct once again and then Post. Transfer is now complete Transferring - Deposit Accounting
