4 Fit4it is a tier 2 weight management service for children and young people (4-16 years old), with a BMI above the 91st Percentile. Fit4it is commissioned by Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust under the Healthy Child Programme. We deliver in each locality within Norfolk. What is Fit4it?

Health Workshops: Learning about the importance of healthy eating and provide the fundamental tools and knowledge to make changes to eating habits at home. Food groups Food labels Portion sizes Fats & Sugars Fast & Slow energy release Effects of exercise on the body Hydration

Physical activity sessions: To provide participants with the opportunity to try a range of different sports, increase physical activity levels but also develop confidence by belonging to a team environment. Multi-sports : football, rugby, handball, basketball, dodgeball, hockey, netball Camp activities : abseiling, zipwire, high ropes, laser tag

13 Fit4it results 211 children & young people completed the programme (completion = 70% attendance) 154 complete data sets obtained (72.98%)

14 Fit4it 2016 statistics Physical activity: 87% of participants showing improvement

15 Fit4it 2016 statistics Wellbeing: Participants reported a 83.9% increase in wellbeing

16 Fit4it 2016 statistics Parental feeding style: Family feeding environment has been demonstrated to contribute to the development of obesity. 79.2% of parents responding to the survey reported improved scores for feeding style, following completion of programme.
