Growth in community colleges has NOT paralleled growth in majors and minors Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) and the League for Innovation in the Community College (the League) endorsed public health & health navigation associate degrees and certificate programs in 2015. League’s website includes information exclusively for community colleges.

6 Health Navigation: New Opportunities
Health Navigation associate degrees and certificate programs lead to jobs as community health workers, patient navigators, health insurance navigators (over 100 job titles) New funding sources include hospitals (30 day Medicare readmission rule), Medicaid, Obamacare, community health centers, etc.
