1 EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED
Acts 2: But Peter, taking his stand with the eleven, raised his voice and declared to them: "Men of Judea and all you who live in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and give heed to my words. 15 For these men are not drunk, as you suppose, for it is only the third hour of the day; 16 but this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel: 17 'AND IT SHALL BE IN THE LAST DAYS,' God says, 'THAT I WILL POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT ON ALL MANKIND; AND YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, AND YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS, AND YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS;

2 18 EVEN ON MY BONDSLAVES, BOTH MEN AND WOMEN, I WILL IN THOSE DAYS POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT And they shall prophesy. 19 'AND I WILL GRANT WONDERS IN THE SKY ABOVE AND SIGNS ON THE EARTH BELOW, BLOOD, AND FIRE, AND VAPOR OF SMOKE. 20 'THE SUN WILL BE TURNED INTO DARKNESS AND THE MOON INTO BLOOD, BEFORE THE GREAT AND GLORIOUS DAY OF THE LORD SHALL COME. 21 'AND IT SHALL BE THAT EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.' NASU

3 Acts 2:1-4 - When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance. NASU

NIV “Correctly handles the word of truth.” 2 Tim 2: Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. NASU

8 2 Peter 3: just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, 16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. NASU

10 Matt 24: Let him which is on the house TOP NOT COME DOWN to take any thing out of his house: KJV Not… TOP KNOT.

11 The Bible says “There is no God.”
The entire verse. Ps 14:1 - The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” NASU 1 Cor 15:32 - LET US EAT AND DRINK, FOR TOMORROW WE DIE. NASU 1 Cor 15:32 – “if the dead are not raised, LET US EAT AND DRINK, FOR TOMORROW WE DIE.” NASU

13 CONTRADICTIONS? Matt 7: "Not everyone who calls out to me, 'Lord! Lord!' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. Holy Bible, New Living Translation. James 2: You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. Holy Bible, New Living Translation. Luke 6: "Why do you call Me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say? NASU

14 THE PHILIPPIAN JAILER Acts 16:9-12 (NASB) 9 A vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of Macedonia was standing and appealing to him, and saying, "Come over to Macedonia and help us." 10 When he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them. 11 So putting out to sea from Troas, we ran a straight course to Samothrace, and on the day following to Neapolis; 12 and from there to Philippi, which is a leading city of the district of Macedonia, a Roman colony; and we were staying in this city for some days.

15 Acts 16:14-15 (NASB) 14 A woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple fabrics, a worshiper of God, was listening; and the Lord opened her heart to respond to the things spoken by Paul And when she and her household had been baptized, she urged us, saying, "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and stay." And she prevailed upon us. Notice they heard the word of God. (a worshiper of God, was listening; and the Lord opened her heart to respond to the things spoken by Paul.)

18 Acts 16: But Paul cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Do not harm yourself, for we are all here!" 29 And he called for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear he fell down before Paul and Silas, 30 and after he brought them out, he said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" NASU

19 Acts 16: They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household." NASU

20 Acts 16: And they spoke the word of the Lord to him together with all who were in his house. 33 And he took them that very hour of the night and washed their wounds, and immediately he was baptized, he and all his household. 34 And he brought them into his house and set food before them, and rejoiced greatly, having believed in God with his whole household. NASU

21 Rom 10: So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. Holy Bible, New Living Translation.

22 and immediately he was baptized, he and all his household.

23 Acts 8: Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture he preached Jesus to him. 36 As they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch said, Look! "Water! What prevents me from being baptized?" 37 [And Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."] 38 And he ordered the chariot to stop; and they both went down into the water, Philip as well as the eunuch, and he baptized him. 39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away; and the eunuch no longer saw him, but went on his way rejoicing. NASU

24 “Here’s water, what prevents me from being baptized
“Here’s water, what prevents me from being baptized?” And Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."

25 In the Eunuch’s example there is no mention about repenting.
In Lydia’s example she heard, believed and was baptized. The Jailer’s example he was told to believe in the Lord Jesus… Paul and Silas then spoke the word of the Lord to him together with all who were in his house. We gather from his washing their wounds that he repented. Not a word about confession is recorded, but he and his household are immediately baptized.

26 To Call on the name of the Lord involved all these things.
…and immediately he was baptized, he and all his household. 34 And he brought them into his house and set food before them, and rejoiced greatly, having believed in God with his whole household. To Call on the name of the Lord involved all these things.

27 IMMEDIATELY HE WAS BAPTIZED
Mark 16: And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. NASU It is at the point of baptism that our sins are forgiven or our sins are washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ. Acts 2: Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself." NASU

28 Acts 9:6- but get up and enter the city, and it will be told you what you must do." NASU

29 Acts 22:16 - 16 Now why do you delay
Acts 22: Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on His name.' NASU Acts 22: And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.' ESV

30 WE’VE COME FULL CIRCLE Acts 22: Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, CALLING ON HIS NAME.' NASU “What must we do?” He’s already reminded them EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.' The answer? Acts 2:38 (NASB) Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Peter told them to do the very same thing the Eunuch did, that Lydia did, that the jailer did, that Paul did.
