1 Ephesians 4.15: Speaking the truth - in love?
The truth we tell speaks about what we believe “No longer... infants... blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.” (v14) “Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.” (v15) Truth is also to be spoken - not only known - “truth-speaking” How to speak truth in love - how I act - and what I say “...each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbour, for we are all members of one body.” (v25) something positive about them and about what they’ve done then what didn’t work well

2 Ephesians 4.15: Speaking the truth - in love?
“I had not [before] noticed how the humblest, and at the same time most balanced and capacious minds, praised most; while the cranks, misfits and malcontents praised least. The good critics found something to praise in many imperfect works; the bad ones continually narrowed down the list... The healthy and unaffected man, even if luxuriously brought up and widely experienced in good cookery, could praise a very modest meal.. the snob found fault with all... Praise almost seems to be inner health made audible.” (C. S. Lewis, Reflections on the Psalms)

3 Ephesians 4.15: Speaking the truth - in love?
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Corinthians )
